What is the purpose of KOTO plan?
To deliver and spread Japanese culture through KOTO (in Japan and all over the world) and create new values, and to lead increase of the number of people working on Japanese cultures.
We operate a business corporation for welfare and music to train and produce persons who can create new values to the society.
What is our purpose?
As we see piano and guitar players everywhere in Japan, we want to make a situation where we see KOTO players everywhere in Japan, who know the virtue of the Japanese culture, are proud to be a Japanese, and wish to be useful to the society, by innovation of ”music” and ”welfare”.
The value of KOTO plan and Corporation concept
In the Ancient ages, KOTO was used to ”guardian, healing, and salvation of the socially vulnerable”.
We will not play KOTO to be praised.
We will not play KOTO for ourselves, but play to make people happier.
To produce such KOTO play, we will develop our business.
A KOTO reminiscence method conductor, only one in Japan: Kanako Watanabe Ms.

Ms. Watanabe developed the KOTO reminiscence method based on her own experiences of supporting victims of the Big Earthquake in Japan in 2011,
Ms.Watanabe aims to heal the elderly people and to make them happy by combination of KOTO music performance and remembrance of their old memories, and advances activities for elderly people not to be socially vulnerable.
These activities are not just volunteers and supplying music, but contribute for the welfare facility to acquire new residents.
KOTO reminiscence method has been conducted for more than 84,300 people within about 4 years from the beginning. Also by announcing KOTO reminiscence method to the local community, the welfare facility had visitors and observers 53 times. Further, the welfare facility that had only 12 residents, after the demonstration of KOTO reminiscence method, had more than 60 residents !
As recognition of such activities, Ms.Watanabe was selected and joined “Heart Reconstruction Project” by the Reconstruction Agency, founded after the Big Earthquake, and contributed to create peaceful places for the elderly people, and was dispatched to Germany by the Japanese Cabinet in 2015 as the only KOTO reminiscence method conductor in Japan.
Ms.Watanabe is currently has a base in Tokyo and working very hard to make the elderly people happy at the welfare facilities and the family care giver groups all over Japan.
